Based on the teachings of Judith Weston
Back in the early 2000s, Judith Weston, the famed coach and bestselling author of Directing Actors, ran the original Actor Director LAB in Los Angeles for 15+ years.
As an accompaniment to her bestselling books, the LAB was a safe environment where directors could practice her teachings, honing their skills learning rehearsal techniques, script analysis and establishing a common language with actors in order to become great directors.
MANDI RIGGI
Mandi Riggi, a long time student of Judith Weston, is a working writer/ director who owes much to Judith’s teachings and has been blessed to carry on Judith’s legacy.
Mandi setup the London Actor Director LAB in March of 2023 in London to continue the teachings of her mentor.
LAB 1, initially dubbed "beta," was conceived as an experiment to explore its potential benefits for directors and actors in London. Over a year and a half later, we are thrilled to announce our 13th LAB on Feb 27, which continues to attract directors from across Europe eager to refine their craft and enhance their skills in this dynamic environment.
