Based on the teachings of Judith Weston
Back in the early 2000s, Judith Weston, the famed coach and bestselling author of Directing Actors, ran the original Actor Director LAB in Los Angeles for 15+ years. As an accompaniment to her bestselling books, the LAB was a safe environment where directors could practice her teachings, honing their skills learning rehearsal techniques, script analysis and establishing a common language with actors in order to become great directors.
MANDI RIGGI
Mandi Riggi, a long time student of Judith Weston, is a working writer/ director who owes much to Judith’s teachings and has been blessed to carry on Judith’s legacy. Mandi setup the London Actor Director LAB in March of 2023 in London to continue the teachings of her mentor. LAB 1 was called beta - an experiment to determine if it could indeed prove beneficial for London-based directors and actors alike. 1.5 years later, we are now entering the 10th LAB in September and directors are traveling from all over Europe to hone their skills at the LAB.
